Love this lightweight tape. I installed it under my kitchen cabinets for general lighting and task lighting when I'm cutting food. The lights are bright enough for that, but dim enough to illuminate the kitchen at night. I used to order lamps in long plastic tubes to put under cabinets but they were bulky and we had trouble connecting and connecting. it is a backup. After trying them my cabinets were already cut at the bottom and near the front of the cabinets for continuous tape which made installation very easy (see photo). Without a groove between the cabinets it would be a bit more difficult. I had also previously installed an outlet in one of the outside cabinets, so I didn't have a cord running from the lights to the outlet. Everything we drilled into the tape supply wiring closet was large enough for the on/off/dimmer switch to fit through, allowing me access to the switch without having to reach into the closet. The dimming function is convenient and simple. use. Didn't get a lighted remote, which would have been nice, but I'm happy with it nonetheless. Overall I would rate it very highly. They feel brittle and I was initially concerned that the tape might tear when unwrapping for installation, but it proved strong and I had no problems. It's amazing that such a small string of lights can illuminate a contractor's office. And by appointment. I would recommend these to others and I will order them again if I have another project that needs concealed lighting.
