They were a bit long for what I needed them for but are very strong in frames or walls. The end looks like a nail, but be careful, it's sharp! I didn't have much that we lost. To be honest I was curious and threw the two together and they haven't changed, so at least I can say storage isn't an issue. And they are difficult to break.
