Review on 🐢 The Honest Kitchen Human Grade Dehydrated Grain Free Dog Food: A Wholesome Meal or Flavorful Food Topper by Kathy Morales

Not for every picky dog

I have a rather picky, spoiled (by my wife who treats him like her fifth child) Boston Terrier who acts like a food critic when you put him on a bowl of food . It's like I'm scared of the reviews I'll see in the local paper written by my dog and her last meal. He's been eating Kibbles & Bits since he was a puppy and then all of a sudden at the age of 5 1/2 he decided he just wasn't going to eat them anymore and the quest to end his hunger strike began. I've read all the great reviews from people having similar problems getting their picky dogs to eat and this food was the solution. They all reported that it looked like green oatmeal (and didn't look very appetizing), but their dogs didn't mind the look and ate it. Decided to give it a try based on the reviews. My dog wouldn't get any closer than 3 feet to his bowl the first few times I did this. I finally got him to at least get up and sniff (he always does before he eats anything and won't go to his bowl after that). After a week I finally gave in. In her defense, I have a new branded Revain too -Dog orders food as a backup, I believe it's called Wag and he wouldn't touch it either But he didn't have any reviews saying this dog food was the saving grace you were looking for (written by the buyers who bought it have, not the sellers, just to be clear.) After trying this with many other dog foods, I finally decided to research exactly what my dog needs for a balanced, healthy diet to create my own dog food, healthier than anything what i could make if i didn't spend that much money would actually cost less than eating it to see it for the same number of days Anything out of the ordinary, just healthy, and if it smells like what I'm eating, he'll casually do it for it. I know how to cook food for him. A monthly supply of food for him (2 cups a day) costs me between $20-$25 a month. Much less than the cost of food for people in a month. Biggest bonus, he couldn't eat it fast enough from the first bite. Still eats every meal without hesitation (although I've found out my dog doesn't eat his peas). This food can be great for some dogs, I definitely don't know enough about it to turn it off and the ingredients are healthy, that's a fact. But it didn't work like I thought it would for my dog. But in the end I found I could cook his food at home just as healthy and for less money (no added preservatives) in less than 20 minutes a week. And my dog has finally stopped bitching and now eats every meal.
