I've had issues in the past when I have large files on my iPad Pro and there wasn't a really easy way to copy them. This is a simple elegant solution. Connect it to my iPad using the USB-C port. The iPad recognizes it immediately. Copy the files. Remove the drive, flip it to the USB 3 port, plug it into your laptop and copy the files. Fast and easy. It's just a good general purpose flash drive. It is very convenient to have both types of connectors. New devices tend to support USB C, while all my current devices support USB 3. Works with what I have and will work in the future.
