I pre-ordered this adapter thinking it would support any MIDI keyboard (or drum kit or guitar) and was a bit shocked to read the manual that it only tested and guaranteed work. work with 5 keyboards and 4 drum kits. It wasn't mentioned in the product description, and my keyboard isn't even a synth you see in electronics stores, it's a silent MIDI controller that I bought in the late 1990's to write music on my computer. I started to worry. I really started to worry when I first plugged it in and nothing happened. If I had been more careful I would have noticed that the MIDI adapter's activity indicator was flashing "SOS" in morse code (nice!) and if I had read the manual I would have known that this meant it was not receiving an active sense signal from my keyboard. After changing the setting on my keyboard to look for an external MIDI device, everything worked beautifully. After that, the activity indicator flashed with every key press, keystroke, and pitch change. In Pro Keyboard mode the keys are mapped from C3 to C5 which is the top half of my keyboard but even with my old keyboard I can move octaves up and down. So you can probably find the notes below if you want. The manual says that in keyboard mode 5 keys are mapped to C4 and G4, but in my experience they are also mapped to C3 and G3, with an additional green note on C5 (this is where my keyboard ends, maybe if I move the notes, that's where it will be more notes). octaves?). The pitch bend wheel allows me to get more power for the overdrive, much like a strum bar on a guitar. There are keyboard lessons in RB3 and I've gone through a few of them. They teach you the basics and don't get impatient with you. Between that and guitar lessons, maybe I'll be a real musician soon! I still find it easier to play the keys on the RB guitar, easier with the left hand than the right, but hopefully that will change. After a few days of use, the only issues were random octave shifts while playing and a momentarily stuck key.
