I mounted this on the top of a 3.5" shrimp tank to help plant growth. Has good suction power. The light has been on the lid for several months and the light is still firmly in place. It has a timer which is good. However, there are only 3, 6, and 12 hour options. I wish there was an 8 or 9 o'clock option. There are also different lighting settings you can use depending on what your plants need. You can adjust the brightness and color spectrum. In general I am very satisfied.
