I work in a warehouse. I have 1100-1800 boxes per shift. Most of these weigh over 35 pounds. I have previously purchased 5 pairs of Ironclad General Utility work gloves. They were perfect for what I needed. But I wore them out and had to replace them. I saw them and decided to buy two pairs to try them out. The previous comments about the thick pad on the palm are correct. It does get a bit more flexible after washing though (I wash all my gloves every week for sweat and storage dirt). And the comments about deleting the touchscreen cover are also true. Although I really don't care. I can't access my phone while I'm at work. But the coating wore off within an hour of using the gloves. Most annoying is what's under the touchscreen cover. It looks like a smooth stiff satin. This makes capturing boxes almost impossible. Even splitting/turning pages in my order book is a great agony for me and takes time. In general, the materials used on the fingers and palms are too slick for what I need gloves for. I don't need extremely sticky gloves to handle sacks as I have to shrink wrap the pallets by hand. But I've found that my hands and wrists hurt after 3 hours of work because I have to push, push, and grab harder than usual. And my shifts are usually 8-12 hours long. Something I also didn't know I had relied on with my previous gloves: terrycloth covers the thumb. I never realized how many times I used it to wipe sweat stains off my face until they were gone. lol Paying twice for Ironclad is worth it for my purposes. I'm sure these gloves are great for other people. But they are not suitable for my work. The price is right if you only need general purpose work gloves. But definitely not for the tough use in a distribution center.
