Unusable - hair cannot be cut

Very impressed with the build quality of the handle but the product basically does not work. He can't cut his hair. I can put it on a tuft of hair in my ears and it just spins. When I turn it upside down it sometimes cuts hair, so I'm assuming there's something wrong with the blade falling. Either bad quality control or bad product design. It's a shame because I had high hopes for it. Very disappointed.
