I never thought a KVM switch could crash a video card. My use case for this KVM switch is a little different than most. Instead of switching between two physical machines, I wanted to switch between a physical machine and a virtual machine with a dedicated graphics card. When I started the virtual machine and switched to it, everything was fine. But when I shut down the VM, I can't start it again because the end-to-end graphics card has failed. The only way to fix the problem was to restart. The KVM switch even managed to mess up the computer's physical graphics card so much that the image of a monitor that wasn't even connected to the KVM switch (I have three monitors) was messed up (see attached image). ).
