I bought another brand about 3 years ago and had to return it. Then I turned to B&D (they make great little gadgets). It wasn't this model and it appeared to be corroded (stainless steel plate, uncoated). I bought another brand and had to return it. In short, I contacted B&D again and got this model. I couldn't be happier. I first tested it on jeans and a cotton blouse: PROS REALLY hot Pushes like a champ Excellent vapor Very light weight Heats up quickly Great value for money The CONSCord is poorly constructed and will be back. The iron only stays on when you wiggle it, and every time you want to put the iron down you have to twist the cord by hand. Looking back at the reviews, it seems that almost every model has cable issues.
