I bought this because I plan to get into portrait photography soon as I mainly photograph cars and I needed something that would provide enough light indoors but I also needed that it could be easily taken apart can, if I have it, to take it to another place. The ring lamp comes in a nice padded carrying case with a belt. The tripod is metal, very compact, and the legs fold down completely, so it's half the size if you want to take it with you everywhere. The ring light itself is very good and comes with an orange diffuser to give off a warmer light when needed. The light emitted at maximum brightness is very bright, but this is easy to change with the adjustment knob. I've included photos of my little brother modeling for me to show how well the ring light eliminates shadows. It gives off a very soft, even light and I can't wait to shoot with it.
