I'm the only one in the house who needs a special snowflake scraper for leather. Ayate is quite gentle in the sense that you can clean the leather very thoroughly without rubbing it with sandpaper. Loofah is too aggressive for my skin. It's just the right balance of cleaning power and softness. With a scoop of Apricot Sensitive Skin Scrub + a hard scrub with an Ayate pad, my skin is amazingly soft. The surprise is that I've had acne for decades without a reason. It just goes away. I am shocked. The downside is that the fabric doesn't last long enough. This is a great scrubber for around 2 months. Then the fibers become loose and soft. After 4 months the pieces disintegrate. This is definitely not a substitute for a washcloth. But it's a great product if your skin needs it. Just a budget to buy 4-6 per year per person. (It's worth it.)
