Review on Melissa & Doug Dress-Up Tiaras Costume by Louis Alford

***See the bottom of this review for updates.******Original review***My 3 year old daughter has been in the princess stage for a while and continues to wear her dolls' tiaras, like she didn't have. Luckily, Christmas was just around the corner, so I did a little research on tiaras to find the prettiest ones without spending a lot of money. Most of the tiaras I've come across had reviews where they broke fairly easily, and then I found these Melissa & Doug tiaras! We have some Melissa & Doug products so I already knew to expect very good quality. I was happy to see that we could get four tiaras and crowns for a pretty decent price so I ordered them. On Christmas morning my daughter was delighted when she opened them and immediately wanted to wear one! There are four parts in total: two tiaras that sit like a headband and two crowns that sit on your child's head. There is a pink tiara and a purple tiara with fun bright colors painted to look like jewels. The tiaras are made of thick plastic which has held up perfectly so far. There is a gold crown and a silver crown and both have a pair of scallops on each side of the back to keep them in place. Just like tiaras, they come in beautiful bright colors reminiscent of jewels, and they're made of thick plastic too. I am very happy with their quality. She has played with them almost every day and they are still in excellent condition. My daughter has a medium sized head for a 3 year old and they fit her very well. I am so pleased with the quality of these tiaras and crowns that I want to give her the matching hair sticks for her birthday so she can have even more fun! If you want to buy a crown or tiara for a little girl for an outfit or a birthday party, this would be a good choice. Overall the price per head for four of them is much better than what you would pay individually for many others I've seen in stores or online and the quality is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if for some reason we lose some of them or want more for a birthday party. I highly recommend these tiaras and crowns! *** Updated on 10/16/2016. My daughter got these crowns and tiaras for Christmas last year and still loves them! She plays with them every day and they generally hold up well. I've included a picture of three of the four we still have because these three are still in great condition after a few months of use. One of the crowns broke in half when I accidentally stepped on it, and even with superglue we couldn't fix it. Considering the other three are still in great shape and the fourth only broke in an accident, I'm keeping my five star rating.
