I really like this. I wish I had bought them sooner. I tried several types of lightbulbs above my dining table and everything was either too dark or too bright and not comfortable at all. Turning on the light made me squint, and for anyone sitting on the couch, the bright light was awful. I placed five of these across the table and the room was immediately warm and welcoming and there were no more glare issues which was a huge relief. The brightness is perfect. These bulbs will probably be a bit dimmer than you'd expect, but if you have a lot of them in one spot (at least five - I only tried four at first and was a little apprehensive at this point) it will warm the room, just bright enough to see very well and comfortable. This solves the glare problem when sitting low in the distance (on a couch) or when sitting almost directly under the lamps (table - my lamps hang low).
