This prank was worth the money. My sister was in town sleeping with two other sisters at her house. When I stopped to visit, I snuck into the visiting teacher's room and hid the cricket under her bedside table. That night, as she was going to bed, she heard the sound of a cricket, but thought it was a fire alarm needing a new battery (it doesn't sound at all), and woke her sisters upstairs at 1:00 am and change the battery. Battery changed, stairs back to garage, everyone back to bed. The sound of the cricket. You think it's a bad battery, go up the stairs for the second round. This time, the mock sister realizes the noise is in her room and lies down on the floor to try and aim for the cricket. All three eventually find it under the bedside table. Apparently my name has been mentioned and they are plotting revenge. So, a work night, women in their 50s and 60s, the unfamiliar sound of crickets and stairs. Sounds like a fun night to me!
