This stuff is really great for certain repairs that were previously difficult or impossible. On first application, the product appears as a clear liquid with the consistency of water. Shine a UV light on it (I have a small UV flashlight for spotting pet stains) and it will start to harden quickly. After curing, it's quite stiff, with a slight bend, like carpenter's glue or PVA glue. I managed to fix a few glasses. My wife broke off the small plastic tip on the nose of her glasses. I was able to place a bead of this material on the back of a plastic nozzle and a metal bracket to attach it to. A few seconds of UV exposure and the repair was almost like new. My daughter broke the temple of her sunglasses. I was able to put a strip of this material between and around the two sides and make repairs. Two caveats: 1) You may need extra hands to hold the pieces together during the application and curing of this product. The soldering iron is well suited for small repairs. 2.) The product will not harden without UV light. Trying to connect the parts with a thin layer of product between them probably won't work. All of my repairs involved creating/curing a bead of product around the area where the two pieces needed to come together. Since the product usually dries clear, this repair is not obvious without closer inspection. All in all a great addition to your home repair kit. It's not a permanent fix, but it does restore things that may not have been fixable before.
