Very affordable “as advertised” EV charging system

Have been using this for about 2 months. Right now only have a standard US 120V plug outlet so the charging is predictably slow but does work as promised. Once I get the 240v/50amp outlet in, I will see if it continues to perform as advertised. I like the fact it provides a multiple of plug systems and is light an packable in the supplied case to travel with … we are taking a longer distance trip soon and plan on taking this with us as an emergency back if can not find a charging system. For…

Pros
  • So far so good. Does a good job, adapters for different outlet types are nice.
Cons
  • The charger may not be very durable

Buy with adapters and save more. Pays for itself.

The Travelmaster is a great item. A must have even if you don't travel alot like me. The ability to fast charge at home on 240v, and take it with me to slow charge on 120v at work has kept me using zero gas to get me to work and back, since I bought it. I do travel, and this has already payed for itself in the savings I get from the minimal amount of gas used. Because I bought the extra adapters, I was even able to plug into my friends 240 welding outlet while visiting. Customer service is easy

Pros
  • As expected. So far so good.
Cons
  • The charger may not be aesthetically pleasing

Great EVSE on my review.

This is a great product. It’s like Tesla’s UMC for all other EV’s. It charges my bolt at full speed and I can take it with me. It’s dual voltage, so I can change the plug on it to suit any receptacle I use when I travel. Only the plug end is water resistant, so that’s why I gave it 4 stars. Can’t leave the unit in the weather if you’re at a campground or something, but I use it in places where the boxy end is indoors 99% of the time so I’m not so concerned about it. It does have the option to…

Pros
  • Pros:1. Adjustable amps2. LCD DisplayCons:1. Heavy2. Not portable for travel
Cons
  • The weatherproofing may not be sufficient for harsh outdoor conditions

Great charger till is fell apart after four days of use!

Not even one week of daily use and the body of the unit fell apart. It was not dropped or rough handled. I had seen other complaints about this before I bought it and thought they were one off cases. Boy was I wrong, the plastic used is flimsy and not designed for travel use where you would be packing and in packing it from its included carrying case. For the cost I seriously expected better, terrible product that I cannot recommend to anyone.

Pros
  • Works awesome, great purchase to charge my 2023 Jeep 4xe!
Cons
  • The charger may not be compatible with all electric vehicles

Plug gets too hot in my review

I ordered this to use for a couple weeks while awaiting a more substantial home charger install, figuring it would then become a travel charger. It worked fine for about 3 weeks. I started getting charging failed messages while charging from my car, and the charging would stop.(2022 Kia EV6). I took the car to the dealer and they pulled some codes.charge port overheating. There is a Chevy bolt review that talks about this charge port melting. This item ( or one incredibly similar) used to have…

Pros
  • Great connection
Cons
  • The charger may not be easily movable

Flexibility, durability and versatility.

Mobility, flexibility, durability and versatility. I chose this unit so I could use both at home and away (work) mostly. Both locations I have 220v welding outlets available. The TravelMaster comes with 2 plugs; 120v 15 amp and a 14-50p 220 plug. I ordered the 6-50 plug extra. Pleased upon unboxing with the construction and components. The fact that depending on the plug in use it will automatically adjust for amperage demand. The display shows good info. It’s not a WiFi unit but my BMW i3 is…

Pros
  • Great interaction
Cons
  • The charger may not be easily upgradeable to a higher Wattage

Full Featured and Portable

I purchased this Mustart TRAVELMASTER Portable Level 2 EV Charger so that I could have charging flexibility when I travel. This fits the bill. It allows me to charge at 110v if that is the only option I have, but in the event that I have access to a 220v (NEMA 14-50) outlet, now I have the ability to get a full charge in under 8 hours. You can do this by easily changing the plug on the charger from the 110v (NEMA 5-15) to the 220v (NEMA 14-50).The charger charges at a full 32amps but it also…

Pros
  • Decent 2nd backup charger...
Cons
  • The charger may not be usable in countries with different electrical outlets

Quality Build, Solid Price

Been using this for a little over two months now and honestly don't have any complaints. The unit feels well constructed, is simple to use (although it has some more advanced features under the 'hood'), and was a reasonable price considering its competition. I personally disabled the need for the RFID card since the charger lives in my garage, but it was a nice feature should you need that added protection. In the end, you need a charger that is reliable and does the job without any worry. This

Pros
  • Easy to change plugs with quick connects.
Cons
  • The charger may not be ideal for users who travel frequently as they need to use different types of chargers

I put that junk in my FRUNK !

I was looking for a travel charger for my EV that would give me the most access to outlets I could find pretty much anywhere. The NEMA 5-15 and 14-50 plugs on this unit do just that. Whether I plug into a typical 3-prong house outlet or a camp site outlet for an RV, I am covered.I know the title is kind of silly but it is impressive. My Kia EV6 has the smallest frunk of any EVs on the market and this unit still fits with a bit of positioning. And on my 800V, 77.4kWH battery pack, this things…

Pros
  • Offers financial incentives for EV owners in certain states or utility areas
Cons
  • The charger may not be easily upgradeable to a Level 3 charging capability

Great customer support from Ricky

I purchased my Mustart Travelmaster 11 months ago. While charging my 2019 Bolt EV, the charge port began smoking. Chevrolet replaced the charge port under warranty, and when I contacted Mustart, Ricky responded quickly and received authorization to send me a replacement Travelmaster. Mustart support was very easy to work with.

Pros
  • To be able to switch from 120 to 240 with the same product.
Cons
  • The charger may consume a lot of electricity leading to high utility bills

Great product!: my feedback

I must have ordered the wrong unit the first time around and I got a hold of their customer service and the language barrier is a little bit difficult but they took care of answering my questions and I returned it to Walmart and immediately got a new unit that was the one that I needed and it works wonderfully thank you muststart

Pros
  • Wifi Remote Control: You can control and monitor charging remotely on your phone. The charging current can be adjusted to 16/25/32Amp, and the charging schedule can be set up to 15 hrs.
Cons
  • The charger may be susceptible to cyber attacks or hacking

Great Wall charger good for me

I got me ev car and bought this charger. It was a great value and it works well with my car. Also looks great and even has a key card access. I only could not hook it up to the internet

Pros
  • Reduces carbon footprint and helps protect the environment
Cons
  • The charger may not work if the user’s home WiFi is not strong enough

Did not work, must be defective

Yellow fault light came on when plugging into 240v outlet. Returned and got grizzl-e which worked fine. Also arrived with a scratch on the front.

Pros
  • I like it I wish they make 100 ft for the garage
Cons
  • The charger's WiFi may not work consistently leading to connectivity issues

Great customer service

I had a problem with the charger overheating. The company was very good about replacing my broken charger and also covering costs to repair my vehicle. They stand by the products and are responsive to customer service issues.

Pros
  • 25ft cable length allows for convenient placement flexibility
Cons
  • The charger may not be suitable for users who live in apartments or shared living spaces without access to outdoor spaces

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Swappable plugs coupled with an affordable 32A EVSE.

Great for charging, both at home and away. The quick change capability is excellent, and it’s price is the icing on the cake.

Pros
  • Sleek, modern design that complements any home or business décor
Cons
  • The charger may not be able to handle multiple charging cycles per day

Connector design is faulty and should not be separated.

Well, this thing almost killed me. When attempting to charge, the connector head popped out. When trying to plug it back in. It exploded in my hands. It took me a few seconds to realize what happened. But could’ve been worse.UPDATE: Reached out to the vendor, I guess they have a solid warranty. Offered to replace the original unit. They updated the connector to hold a bit better. Can't say I'm still not a bit worried every time I touch it or disconnect it.

Pros
  • Advanced circuitry ensures precise voltage, current, and temperature control for optimal battery health
Cons
  • The charger may not function well in areas with high humidity

Works well. good for me

I bought this product to live in the frunk of my Polestar 2. I carry it with me to be able to charge and just about any type of outlet. I like how you can change the ends out to fit different outlets. I don't use it a ton, it is sort of a backup in the event I find myself in trouble on a trip. I did test it before I stored it, and everything worked fine. The screen was clear and showed some handy information.

Pros
  • Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment
Cons
  • The charger may not work in areas with weak internet connectivity

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like the flexible options

Very fast shipping and the quality looks very good. Thanks for attention. I will update after I’ve used it for a couple months as well

Pros
  • The case is very nice and great to travel
Cons
  • The 25ft cable may not be long enough for some users

It's not a DC fast charger, but it's faster then the one that came with your car, and if you charge more at home vs charging stations or any remote chargers, then this should be in the front trunk or the rear trunk.

Pros
  • Affordable price point for a high-quality EV charger
Cons
  • The charger may not be compatible with some cars' charging sockets

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lasted less than a year.

Stopped charging. Light is green. No error light. Just not charging. Says voltage good at 243volts. Just not registering it’s plugged in I guess. Other chargers working fine

Pros
  • Cutting-edge WiFi connectivity for convenient charging control from your smartphone
Cons
  • The charger may not be easily installable in rented properties
