Much larger than the entire back of a full size wafer holder and well below the bottom of the wafer holder (see photo). The backpack does not have an outlet for the bubbler hose, but the velcro opening to insert the balloon into the backpack works (see photo). The mall is missing from the top and will be added to the bottom of the backpack (see photo). On the plus side, the backpack has room for a hydration bladder and plenty of room for extra items. I have a $90 camel molle backpack rack and it doesn't have extra storage so this is the best option. The fabric is a bit thin but helps keep the weight down. Hopefully the photos and description help explain the +/- of this package.
