This laptop is a solid alternative for creative artists.

The Asus MB16AC monitor is not compatible with this notebook. The UX534FT-DB77 model does not support USB DisplayPort. This laptop also displays ads. I mean Asus ads and popups on the screen. Not acceptable for this price range. UPDATE September 11, 2020 How do I use this laptop? • Photoshop • Illustrator • DaVinci Resolve • Premiere Pro • Adobe Dimension • Other Adobe creative applications. This laptop is slowly growing inside me. I often work with two open applications, e.g. Illustrator and Photoshop, or Dimension and Photoshop, and I'm happy to report that this laptop can easily handle large, high-resolution images when both applications are open. a great burden and necessary for my work. Render times for Premiere Pro and Resolve are decent enough considering it's a laptop. Short 4K clips of 30 seconds. YouTube ads are processed within minutes. Not bad. The small touchpad/monitor is not suitable for most applications, but has a few nice touches that can be useful for creative work. For example, if you're working in Word or Excel, it can automatically display a shortcuts window, which is very useful, and you can set the tiny screen to show custom shortcuts for select apps like Photoshop and Illustrator, so your most common shortcuts are always available are available when you need it. She. File Explorer, Spotify, and Chrome are unusable on a small screen because the text is too small to read. When the small screen is in touchpad mode, it behaves like any other touchpad. Nothing strange to report here. I definitely recommend using the mouse on the go or in the office. The design of the laptop is beautiful and feels comfortable. The battery falls far short of expectations, at least not for my applications. If you're an artist, be aware that battery life can dip to six hours under heavy loads (even less when rendering), so get a spare charger if you plan to use it on the go. I guess a student can squeeze out more battery life if they're not tempted to play in a history class, but I'm not a student so I'm just guessing. The screen is glossy and very prone to reflections, but presents a clearer, sharper image that artists will appreciate. The keyboard is very standard, no complaints or complaints. It's comfortable and will do what you want a keyboard to do. It should be noted that the keyboard has several shortcut functions that can be useful. For example, there is a calculator shortcut and a shortcut to change the mode for the touchpad small screen. The graphics card is sufficient for 3D applications. If you create 3D assets in Photoshop, After Effects, or Dimension (I haven't tested any other applications), I'm happy to report that this laptop will meet your needs. I've tried several games with good results. The Witcher 3 and Portal 2 run smoothly on medium settings. WHAT I DO NOT LIKE? To be fair, at this price point, an alternate mode display port should be a standard feature. But no, this is reserved for Asus top models. That means I can't use any of my portable monitors in alternate mode when I'm giving a presentation to my clients at my local Chili restaurant, or when I need to present a marketing campaign in front of a board full of guys in ties and suits with a bunch of MacBooks showing stand on a large rectangular table. That's why I just look cheap, and for a businessman like me, looks are important. If I had known about this small flaw I would have bought something else. I didn't come back because my previous laptop died and I was desperate for a replacement. • Asus ProArt PA278QV Display• Havit HV-F2056 Laptop Cooling Pad 15.6-17"• Razer Basilisk Ultimate HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Mouse Cooling Pad with charging station• Razor Firefly V2 Mouse Pad• Razer Ornata V2• Tomtoc 15.6" Protected travel case Briefcase with laptop compartment • Anker 10-port 60W data hub with 7 USB 3.0 ports and 3 PowerIQ charging ports
