I purchased 5AA, wanted to tone down the brass and go a bit darker. After reading reviews I bought an addition color tube of 6AA and mixed half 5AA and half 6AA to lighten up the color. I’m glad I did the ash browns are very dark so my result was a dark brown; I’m happy with the results. I mixed with the 20 developer and left the dye in for 45 - 50 minutes since I’m about 60% gray. When you purchase the hair color you need to buy developer, bowl, brush, gloves, etc. I’ll buy this brand again it leaves hair healthy.
