Review on Project Nursery Monitor Deluxe System by Julie Purvis

When we first used this monitor it worked so well. We had an InfantOptics monitor that we liked, but it didn't give good night vision when further from the crib. This one did and we thought we made the right purchase! Then, after about 5-6 weeks, the screen on the large monitor as well as on the small keychain started to fade intermittently. We turned off the camera in the room and tried to restart it. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. If you're a parent, it's obvious that not being able to trust a baby monitor is a big deal! We tried to contact custserv. Apparently there is no other way to contact them other than email and they are SLOW in replying. While waiting for answers, a screw in the mechanism came loose, but we can't open the battery compartment. We have goggle tools and lots of regular sized hex head screws, but nothing fits. (Why the hell don't they use Phillips?!) We went back and forth - slowly - for weeks and then months via email. And today the back cracked. What's wrong? Well, we're unlucky because after wasting time with their slow customer service, we just found out that the manufacturer's warranty only lasts a month. Don't buy this. he will break It's too expensive to break that easily and every parent should trust this item.
