I was struggling to decide whether to buy this camera or the cheaper Eyoyo 1000TVL underwater camera. It has a camera resolution of 1280 x 720p versus 720 x 280p, which is significantly better. The LCD screen has also been improved, 1024x600 versus 800x480. In real life, it was a lot of fun watching the fish approach my bait and bite (yay) or swim away (yay). There have been times when multiple fish have been sighted. A camera out of the water clearly displays images at a distance of 6 to 8 feet or more. However, underwater we could probably only see 2 to 3 feet. This is a water transparency issue, not a camera issue. My camera came with a broken charger. Eyoyo sent replacements immediately, no questions asked. Your support has been very helpful. The camera comes with a wire protruding from the front of the camera - I think this is to hold the bait to get a close up view of the fish. I was able to remove it with pliers without damaging the water seal. But once removed, it doesn't come back. The color reproduction of the camera (or the LCD screen) is bad. All colors are a bit blurry but underwater it doesn't matter as I can clearly distinguish bass, bluegill, crappie etc. A sun visor is useful because any color LCD screen struggles to get bright enough in the sun. it's awkward at best. Everything is pinched. The lid is not adjustable in different angles. I had to put snow on the ice to get the screen at a good angle. The camera does not have a good mount for horizontal viewing. It has eyelets on the camera and cable management rings to give it a somewhat horizontal look. Despite all the downsides, this is a great camera at a great price. If you don't mind the hassle or like to do your own thing, you can turn this system into a great underwater camera for less than half the price of brand name cameras. I am very happy with my purchase. The warranty is one year and if you register with Eyoyo you can get an additional six months warranty.
