Review on πŸͺ’ Astra Superior Platinum Double Edge Shaving Razor Blades 100 Pcs - Barber's Favorite Choice by Jennifer Hirsch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good blades and feels real

Arrived in manufacturer's packaging and everything was taken care of. Proctor & Gamble now seems to be the distributor of Astra (one of the most famous Russian brands). Depending on the vintage, origin and more, there may be slight variations in packaging design. So don't panic. The main thing is that the blades are good. What do I expect from Astra. The pressure on the blades is firm (again, this varies; I've had fairly faded Astra blades elsewhere that were still good). Razor blades are a personal item. Much depends on your beard (if you are XY), skin type, shaving soap, razor, local water, how you shave, offerings to spiders, phase of the moon, etc. However, Astras are very good blades and worth trying. The Revain's packaging was pretty tricky: just a few packets of blades thrown into a flimsy, semi-sealed box along with other stuff, no spacers. Or someone in the middle thought my shampoo was nitroglycerin. It doesn't seem to be the seller's problem. Maybe just a bad day on the line. Either way, the seller looks solid, which is probably what you want to know.

Pros
  • Very smooth and sharp
Cons
  • Good but not great
