First of all you will find that the reviews on this product are broken. I actually broke mine too. But when I got a replacement, I came up with a new strategy. The product is made of silicone while the device is made of smooth plastic. Obviously they will hold up very well. The earmuffs are sweat resistant, so using a small amount of water to lubricate the silicone is acceptable. DO NOT use too much water, only use drops from a wet finger. • Fold the deformable earpiece so that it can be inserted into the large opening of the silicone case. Then, VERY GENTLY, begin to GENTLY pull the case over the earpiece. They have friction and need to apply lubricant between them. I used a toothpick to move the silicone lid. But I cannot stress enough how careful you must be. Do not pull the silicone case so far that it breaks. Move SLOWLY and use the water drops to release your grip. Slowly adjust and move the cover until it snaps into place. If you are patient and careful, use a drop of water to lubricate the silicone handle. You will succeed in planting a cover. Take your time and remember SMALL movements of the water drop here and there.
