A bit bulky when full but plenty of space

I bought this for traveling with cosmetics and skincare products, mainly to stow my carry-on or checked luggage on flights. The first tier holds brushes and mascara-sized items, while the second has multiple zippered pockets and elastic straps. I don't find the pockets very useful as I feel like I can fit more in just clipping them together! On my recent 10 day business trip (pictured here) I was able to assemble 28 products, most of which are full size: - 6 thinner brushes, a large blush brush and a small kabuki brush - eyebrow pencil, liquid eyeliner, mascara and concealer - Fine Eyeshadow Palette (Elf's Mad for Matte) - Blush, Powder Highlighter, Liquid Highlighter - 6 Lip Products (2 Lipsticks, 1 Crayon, 1 Tube Gloss, 1 Tube Mini Lipstick) and 2 Lip Liners - Tube Foundation & Tube BB Cream - Foundation Powder and Setting Powder (in contact lens case) Becomes a bit bulky when full (like a big brick of makeup) and takes up a decent amount of space in a small carry-on but stays a little thinner when unpacked. I wanted to see if I could use this for shorter overnight stays/weekends but instead reached for a smaller zipped bag as I found I didn't need all the space this offers for these short trips and I'd rather not have that would eat bulk . The only thing that gave me a break while traveling with this one was the domed blush that broke in its tray. I like that the material and lining are plastic so if something spills you can just rinse it out. The zippers feel solid and work smoothly. Overall, I would have preferred a thinner profile for short trips to toss in a backpack or small bag, but it fits the bill for longer trips to pack a suitcase.
