We have a small bar counter between the kitchen and living room and I had two traditional high back bar stools. Doesn't matter! It just seems to give us more space. First the backs of my previous bar stools raised above our bar. With these backless bar stools, we have a completely unobstructed view of the living room and terrace. I love that the seats are larger than the typical saddle bar stools. My back needs more light. Rschunimagu. As for comfort. My previous bar stools had more cushions, which I prefer. The seat is rounded and holds its shape well. While this one is flatter and I noticed it flattened considerably after taking it off, it eventually returned to its original shape. Didn't have the same rebound factor as my old bar stool; However, I am very happy with this purchase. So almost perfect. A few more things to watch out for. Oh the instructions were pretty useless. I'm one of those people who trust the manuals. Luckily, the husband is mechanical and has a good track record in all trades, so he figured it out. There were these serrated washers that didn't tell you where to put them. Even though my husband knew. It's best to also insert two legs and then insert the other two with the horizontal bar before you start screwing in. Otherwise it will be difficult to insert the other two legs after screwing the first two in place. I hope this explanation helps. But all the parts were there and they provided 1 extra each. Thank goodness they thought of that. Not all companies do that. And the packaging was great. Even the screws were wrapped to avoid damaging the stools. Each bar stool came out perfect, no scratches or nicks. The seat looks nice. Such a great price! I took off a star because I wish the seat had more padding and they really should do an assembly video or at least improve the instructions. I never thought that Christopher Knight could have something that I would like to buy. but now you have my attention The previous reviews made me feel more confident about making this purchase. And they were right. And the last. I usually scotchguard everything because I have four children. Don't do it for these stools. And here it is. Will update in a year and let you know how it's holding up.
