Poor workmanship, spend your money elsewhere. Don't buy Kanto speaker stands.
They are very expensive compared to the poor quality of the stands. There is a small carved panel in each tower. bad sweat rate. When I mounted the base plate to the turret, the welds split. I didn't tighten the fasteners and the inner panel broke. Due to the poor workmanship of these coasters I would NOT recommend them and I strongly believe that you should purchase another brand, preferably one with a reputation for quality.
