Poor quality as others have mentioned. Disappointing

Poor quality as mentioned by others. The holes were not drilled properly which prevented proper installation. The other stand I was able to assemble didn't seem solid with my 28lb speaker, unlike my other stand which only has a 20lb weight limit (vs 30lb). Also pretty bad directions all in all. You may think it was easier, but it isn't, and there are no words, only pictures. And I'm very smart. For the price of the item I expected a much better quality. Attempt to contact the Canto. Due to…

Incredible value in HiFi!

My set is perfect, quality control was excellent. These are really good racks, very low and easy to assemble. Contrary to some reviews, you can definitely fill it with sand. Simply seal the cable hole under the base plate with a double layer of Gorilla Tape and then attach the posts to the base. I stuffed the posts with baseball sized insulation and pushed it all the way down (the hole for the wire is now covered). I filled the posts 3/4 full with clay cat litter. Attached the top panels and…

Sturdy and good looking speaker stands

My experience with these speaker stands has been nothing but positive. I received the product well packaged, I had to open three boxes to get the actual product. lol. I used these stands with a pair of q Acoustics 3020i bookshelf speakers. They fit perfectly on the top plate. The assembly of the stand was pretty standard. The instructions were clear and everything you need is included in the package, no need for other tools. It's really strong, the heavy plate you screw to the base makes it…

Be careful when finishing!

I was under the impression these stands were made in Canada but they are not. While they are sturdy and relatively easy to assemble, after spending an hour putting this thing together I noticed that the finish on both bases was defaced or washed out or otherwise smudged on what is otherwise a good product with a solid reputation . Conclusion: I expected a lot more for this price! and i'm generally disappointed with this experience, it weighs a lot so i won't take it apart and repack it. My…

Clean design and durability

These are pretty nice coasters, but with a few minor issues. First, they have attractive, clean lines and a good weight to keep them in place. The first issue is that you can't attach your speakers to it if you don't have them, meaning your speakers can be knocked over (although the weight should keep them in place unless kids or pets bump them on). Second, the top plates aren't attached very firmly to the stand - supposedly to rotate, but the design is very second rate. It doesn't bother me…

  • Appearance

They are very expensive compared to the poor quality of the stands. There is a small carved panel in each tower. bad sweat rate. When I mounted the base plate to the turret, the welds split. I didn't tighten the fasteners and the inner panel broke. Due to the poor workmanship of these coasters I would NOT recommend them and I strongly believe that you should purchase another brand, preferably one with a reputation for quality. The price versus poor quality shows how much margin (profit) Kanto…

slim, slim with functionality.

My original stands that I bought have become a terrible scourge after 20 hard years of roaming and living near the ocean as salt water mist invaded my audio room. 0.26 to 28 inches tall so my tweeters are at ear level on my couch. The foam padding on the stand is an improvement over your typical sticky rubber squares that wrap around every corner. The pivoting axis allows you to reach that sweet spot when dealing with room acoustics is easier than lifting the entire base and moving it around. I

Sturdy - meets my needs

They were VERY solid. Didn't expect them to be so heavy. I actually put them on my desk so my speakers can stand above my monitors. It worked perfectly for this application. There were a few imperfections in the metal in a few places as others have pointed out, but they were very minor. The packaging that comes with it is really well done and the instructions and details are neatly laid out. My speaker cables (with a VGA connection) didn't fit into the cable routing slots, but that's not the…

Expect the Best from Kanto - Poor Tolerances

Good: They look sleek and have a nicely weighted base that gives an initial feel of quality and provides ample acoustic dampening once assembled. It's nice that they include rubber feet and spikes in the box for you to choose for your room. Poor: Tolerances for a number of parts are poor. On one of my two stands in particular, the top plate doesn't fit the stand perfectly, leaving fractions of an inch of vibration that turns the entire stand into a good tuning fork when the speakers hit the…
