Expect the Best from Kanto - Poor Tolerances

Good: They look sleek and have a nicely weighted base that gives an initial feel of quality and provides ample acoustic dampening once assembled. It's nice that they include rubber feet and spikes in the box for you to choose for your room. Poor: Tolerances for a number of parts are poor. On one of my two stands in particular, the top plate doesn't fit the stand perfectly, leaving fractions of an inch of vibration that turns the entire stand into a good tuning fork when the speakers hit the right frequency. I've disassembled and carefully reassembled it, but to no avail - the pieces just don't slide perfectly, so there's always a little gap on this stand. Likewise, one of my rubber feet on one of the coasters has faulty threads for screwing into the base, such that a given foot only screws in about 80% of the way. So with this stand it is impossible to set it flush on the floor like a rickety table in a restaurant. problems. I expected more from Kanto and for this price. Until they improve their quality control and production methods, I would recommend trying out the competition.
