I used these for my dog's paw prints. My husband is busy and wanted to do something cute and unique with dogs instead of just sending pictures. I didn't understand how it worked without the ink touching the paws (or skin in humans). This is a small card with ink on one side and foil on the other. The ink side goes on the paper itself, and then the hand, paw, or foot, etc. is pressed against the part of the foil that presses the ink form onto the paper. never touch the ink itself. so it's safe and clean and that's very important. A child who can follow simple instructions or sit still would work better but as my dogs were having a hard time getting them to sit still and then step on a small square I ordered 2 packs. I think everyone came at four. from 2 packs i was able to get 2 usable prints to send to my husband. Again, this had to be done 100% with the fact that as soon as my dogs stepped on it, they would slide on their way out and then smear/smudge the footprint. Therefore, each dog needed multiple copies to get a good looking print. The product was great. A reasonable price is also a good thing because if you're using a dog that is energetic and doesn't like having their paws touched or manipulated, I recommend buying two packs as well. If you don't use both, donate one! For those with pets we often think of treats or toys, but this makes a great inexpensive gift for anyone with pets.
