We bought these ski harnesses to use when the kids swim in the lake - the water isn't very clear and we don't like them in deeper water with no buoyancy but they are a full lifesaver that the vest is excessive and uncomfortable to swim and play. We used to have buoyant harnesses with blue foam squares - a few years of pier jumping and having fun has resulted in the blocks being ripped off the harness. We decided to try them as a replacement and they work great! I think they actually work better than the foam blocks because they're covered and a bit grippy so they don't slide down kids' torsos as easily. The adjustable strap is perfect for adjusting the straps to ensure the right fit, while the bright color makes them easy to spot in the water. The kids like them a lot more and I think they will get used to it over time.
