I bought this camera for my church to broadcast Sunday meetings. This was intended to replace the older standard definition Sony D70 PTZ camera, which was lacking in quality in our HD widescreen world. The camera is easy to use and the IP control works well, eliminating the need to purchase a separate and expensive camera controller. While the video quality is significantly better than the aging Sony, I had to use all of the optical zoom and some digital zoom to get close enough to the speaker. However, the camera struggled with autofocus and I couldn't find a setting that would adequately solve my problem. He was constantly trying to focus whenever there was movement in the frame. The price was great for the connections on offer and the image quality was excellent when the camera was not moving or when someone was moving in front of it. I decided not to fight it and bought a more expensive 30x PTZ camera. If it weren't for the autofocus issue, I'd leave it for the side camera. If I had a closer camera position that didn't require full zoom, this would be a great camera for the price.
