Review on 👶 Mimos Baby Pillow: Ideal Solution for Plagiocephaly and Pressure Distribution in Infants (M) by Kiesha Williams

We bought this pillow for our youngest son who has developed plagiocephaly (head flat on one side). We started using the pillow when he was 3.5 months old (right photo) and have been using it until now at 5 months (left photo). We discussed the shape of his head with our pediatrician, who didn't seem too concerned. I work with neurosurgeons/neurologists in the medical field who didn't think it was bad enough to warrant a skull helmet but offered other options. We tried to craddle him with his sound side (left) facing the room and not the wall. We also tried propping him up a bit to take the pressure off the right side of his head. He was so young and not focused on objects that these measures didn't help much. He was always on his preferred right side. He had no torticollis and had good head and neck control early for his age. I found this pillow after searching the internet for options. For the first 2 nights we used the pillow I was worried the pillow would end up in his bed. It's a breathable pillow, but still. Mom is worried. I will say that he fell off the pillow several times but he never ended up face down in it. I think he likes the pillow a lot, it should be softer than the hard mattress in the crib! Even when he's on his right side, I think the pillow and the shape of the pillow wraps around his head and prevents pressure points. We are simply amazed at his improvement! I know there are several factors that allow the head to flatten naturally (lying on your stomach, more head and neck control, sitting with support), but if you're concerned about cosmetic appearance, if your child grows, 110 US dollars are quite reasonable. . I would recommend starting as early as possible!
