I clean my house and a problem I often have is how to clean the shower without leaving dirt on the soles of my white sneakers that I have to wear (according to the company I work for). They work very well to prevent water from activating mud on shoe soles and then carrying it to the surface. Especially the white tiles on the floor. ah. But they don't work the other way around, ie be careful not to let water seep into the sole, which will heavily wet the sole of your shoe. I tried just wearing socks and stuff and that's when I really realized that waterproofing is a joke. But still amazingly durable and recyclable, definitely more durable than typical woven blue fabrics. Plus, you get a ton of them for the money. For my purposes I would say I am satisfied. Depends on how waterproof you want them to be, but again wellies might be worth considering if that quality means so much to you.
