I like the small shell. I have a very small dog so I don't need a large bowl. Large or small, hanging bowl drives me crazy, so the bowl fits in the middle for me. A bag in a beautiful blue color that suits almost everyone. Personally, I don't care about opening the Velcro. It's hard and scratchy and it takes both hands to open it. Maybe it will soften over time. I put treats in the zippered pockets and her water bottle and bin liners in the Velcro main compartment. They fit perfectly in the bowl. I tried the lap belt and the crossbody shoulder belt; both are equally comfortable. Both have plenty of room for customization. If you need your hands for a quick minute, you can also attach the end of the leash to the bag. I haven't found a bag that's perfect for me yet, but it will do for the foreseeable future. ***Update*** Today the bag was too full for a water bowl so I attached it to the bag with the included carabiner. The clip broke and that's when I realized how thin it really is. It's ok if you exchange it for a better one when you receive the bag. Also, both shoulder straps are comfortable when trying them on, but in actual use, the shoulder strap allows the bag to swing too freely; The waist belt is much more convenient to use.
