I recently brought home an 8 week old kitten and quickly found that she is an excellent escape artist. First I started with an open paddock and she scaled it in one day. Then I tried Babygate and it came out even quicker. I gave up and bought it a bit desperate and am so glad I did. I was really worried about the space for her inside, but it's a lot bigger than I thought! It fits in their litter box, bed, toys, food and water, and there's still room. I thought she was upset that she couldn't escape, but when I'm home and she's free to roam, she still often finds her way back. She loves it! My only complaint is that she likes to jump outwards and collapse, but she pops right back up, so it doesn't hurt me. It was also INCREDIBLE introducing my 10 year old cat to a kitten. The 10 year old was very unhappy that the kitten was here until I got this pen. First, it's great because I can put the kitten in to eat and put the cat food outside so they can eat next to each other without the risk of physical contact. Second, I believe that being able to see and smell the kitten while being held helped my cat. It was only in use for 5 days and now they get along great. I find them napping together, sharing treats with no barriers, and even playing. I really think this pen made a huge difference. If you're thinking of buying it, do it. It's totally worth the money and my crazy fugitive hasn't found a way out yet.
