Review on πŸ”’ SWITCHDOCTOR Window Master Switch: Compatible with 2005-2009 Subaru Outback & Legacy by Bryan Gibbons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly in Outback 2006 2.4i limited

Several youtube videos told me I can do this. And I did. I was a little hesitant about removing the door panel completely, but with a little force, a jiggle, and a tug, it worked. Disconnected all wires (door lock, door light and power window switch harness) and no problem. At first I was worried I had bought the wrong part as the SWITCHDOCTOR block didn't match the one I had removed from the door. but then i realized i need to transfer the top plate/body of the old switch to the new one. Cut the OEM tape that was wrapped around the sides of the old switch and locate the clips to remove the bezel/housing. Jumped onto the new switch and reinstalled everything. It took 30-45 minutes at most. Another 30 minutes of preparation to work with Youtube before starting work, total 60-90 minutes. No questions. Thank you ! Oh, the reason I needed a new switch was because my driver's side window button had lost its spring. and never returned to the neutral state. If you are not careful and return each switch to the middle ("OFF") position, the motor will burn out.
