Great charger in Chargers & Adapters

I have one of the later Apple Macbook Air 11" models and it turns out the original power cord came out right at the cord entry in the Mag-Type T-connector - sure. Me went online to explore my options and initially looked for a genuine Apple product but I always like to test my options My requirements were pretty simple: 1. A really compatible device (actually works as intended) 2. It's simple traveling with him (he travels with me almost every day) 3. Sturdy build 4. Good value for money I've been using this product for about a couple of months now so here is my rating based on my criteria 1. It was easy to test, i was able to unbox it and plug it straight into the wall and my computer and everything worked great!I get a 100% charge with no damage to my computer and the yellow/green lights work as expected.2. It is very easy to travel with this charging plug. The cord and plug fit comfortably in your hand and take up relatively little space in your bag. I have to say that while it's not perfect, this is a pretty good improvement over Apple's "square" design. Apple's design looks cool, but you're either lugging around a long extension cord or clumsily wrapping up the computer end of the plug, and that's even more true when you use the built-in cord wrap. All you have to do is loop a few times and use the included zip tie and you're done. Not perfect, but good enough.3. There are two main parts of an Apple power connector that always fail: the insulation at the end of the computer, or the insertion of the cable into the magnetically safe part of the connector. It's a claim that'll be a bit difficult to judge at this point, but the insulation feels a little different, and the magnetically secure head certainly looks more solid. I think they may have used a different insulating compound which hopefully will last a long time. So far so good.4. It's also a requirement that will take time, but in general Apple's new power cord costs around $80, depending on the model. I paid about 30 for this power cord. As a rule, a real Apple power cable lasts me about 2 years. So far this cable has worked great and if it lasts half the time I think it's on par. Anything above that will be a plus. If this cable suddenly goes bad I'll update this review, but same as above so far so good. The only thing I would like to improve about this power cord is the cord storage for portability. That being said, I tend to sense it in just about every power cord for just about every device. It seems that most manufacturers do not pay attention to such small details. I was distracted. So far it's been a great product and I've been very happy with the purchase. If something changes, this rating will also change.
