If you need a USB 3 card with USAP but don't need USB-C or USB 3.1 and are using Windows 10 (or 8/7/XP), then this card might be for you. USAP makes this card pretty fast, assuming your USB device supports it. If you are using Windows 10, all you need to do is: - turn off the computer - insert and secure the card - connect the card to a SATA power adapter (15-pin power) - boot the computer and wait for "boot stops". Now Windows 10 and the Inateck card should be ready to go, because the driver for the Fresco Logic FL1100/FL1100EX controller is already built into Windows 10. I'm usually a cautious person, so I would say "when Windows 10 stops loading". reboot 1 time. If you are using another Microsoft operating system, you must install the drivers from the drivers CD. Follow the instructions in the installation brochure. This card works great for me. Now the USB 3.0 ports are only on the back of the case and I think that's a minor issue. In addition, Inateck manufactures several USB 3/USB-C cards with different port/connector configurations for internal connections. Some of these cards use 3rd party controllers so I have no idea how well these 3rd party ports/connectors will work. YMMV. For example, with their 7-port card, you can get 4 very good ports and 3 mediocre ports.
