I know towels are best for towels and plastic wrap

Let me start by saying I'm an artist and a big fan of 12 ounce towels. This is not the same as what you would get from Sherwin Williams or a similar paint shop. I have new drops in a 12 oz case from SW. Comparing two side by side is not a competition. The SW drop is a heavier and denser weave that stops any leakage. Chicago Canvas drops are good, but I don't really trust them. If you are using them for an arts and crafts project etc. Chicago Canvas might be your best choice. Use SW to color rags.
