Update 28 March 2016: The manufacturer read my review (below) and contacted me after I requested a refund from Revain. The manufacturer offered to send me a replacement. I agreed, and while waiting for it to arrive I examined the cables I used to connect the box. The box comes exactly as shown in the picture, with two sockets. I bought a long extension cord, plug to plug, and a short extension cord, plug to plug. My headphone cable plugs into one connector, one end of the short cable into the other, the other end of the short cable into the long cable, and the long cable plug into my TV. Careful examination showed that the connectors on the short cable are different. To my embarrassment, I found that the short cable was for mono only. So my rating is below. Anyway, I bought a stereo plug-in cable and the box works fine with it, both stereo and volume control. My apologies to the manufacturer and potential buyers who may have been misled. My first review. Great customer service.----------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------- --- ----- Delivery condition: Not stereo, sound only in one ear (should be bad contact); Crackling in a single ear is another sign of a poorly made connection. Based on my experience and the combination of good and bad reviews for this product, I can only assume that the manufacturer makes these and then doesn't test the product before shipping it. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Quality control is important. Not very expensive but definitely a throw of the dice.
