When I started my first batch of popcorn I thought it would be a disappointment. As soon as the popper was warmed up and I heard the first popping noises, I noticed that it was throwing out unpopped kernels. I suspect they're just stuck in the early bang because after about a dozen unburst grains from the chute, the rest was fully exposed. Puffed corn out of this popper like other air poppers I've used. , popping kernels that are quite hard. The instruction manual even advises the user to put all the flavors (recipes in the manual) on a baking sheet in the oven for a few minutes to crisp it up. It wasn't bad, but some of the grains were hard to chew. I like a measuring cup to use as a place to melt the butter. It is also located on top of the ejection chute to prevent puffed beans from sliding out the top. When I write this review I want popcorn so now I have to go for popcorn.
