My child is thin for his age. For size reference, he is 40 inches tall and I ordered a size 5 for him. It fit him perfectly. We bought it for family photos and it was really well received. The top (jacket and shirt) is of excellent quality, the pants are good but I expected a bit more from Nautica as it is such a well known brand. For kids with a small waist like mine, these elasticated pants are a godsend 😊 In general, I recommend them.

They fit great and looked great! It was his Easter costume. The little guy looked great and got a lot of compliments at church :) He seemed comfortable in it and didn't even take off his little tie. I would recommend this for any fashion event. Just don't expect a little boy to wear a suit and tie for more than a few hours! Laugh out loud!

The jacket is ok but the shirt and pants are very cheap and look like it. The pants are baggy and out of shape - elasticated, with no pockets or fasteners; the shirt is equally tacky, and while both look good when covered with a jacket, the pants can't be comfortable, and the shirt is thin. Leave the jacket on as it was a good value on its own - don't plan on the rest of this outfit working.

But this set works very well. Excellent quality jacket. The fit is small. Based on other reviews I bought a size up and it was a good decision. My grandson is 8 years old and tall. The sleeves of the jacket were a little long, but didn't bother wearing them. The shirt and tie exceeded expectations. Pants will fit in a few years.

A beautiful costume for our grandson for his great grandmother's funeral. For a 2 year old he is tall and slim so the 2T pants were a bit too big for him and a bit too long. Otherwise the suit was of a very good fit and quality. Good thing all the necessary pieces were included with the jacket (shirt, tie and pants). We were proud of how he looked in it and happy with our purchase.

Great costume for my grandson! Size 7 fits perfectly. Excellent quality and perfect colors - couldn't be happier. Will buy him a nautical suit for his black communion suit next year.

The pants are flimsy and cheap but they fit because my son is so skinny the elastic at the waist helped put them on. The jacket was of decent quality and covered the top of his pants, but to hide them you had to keep your blazer buttoned. The label is in a terrible place, even if you carefully remove it there are 8 holes left where the Nautica label used to be.

I was expecting the material to be more like a men's suit and black. the jacket is similar to velor in dark blue. Cheap polyester pants. Guess the price was too good to be true.

This costume is ideal for a special occasion. The only thing I don't like is that the size 7 pants have an elastic waistband. Most children went potty years ago. In 1st or 2nd grade they want pants with zippers so they don't have to be pulled all the way down. I went and bought him a pair of regular dress pants to match the others.

This costume set is amazing. My son is a regular size 6 and the top and jacket fit perfectly. Bottom is a skinny 6 or over 5 so I was concerned about the fit of the pants but they have elastic at the top and fit perfectly (no belt loops though). f

The pants are made of suit fabric, but without pockets and with an elastic waistband. Strange for Nautical and the fact that the MSRP is $90!

Bought this suit for an upcoming event with high expectations given the price and brand. Was very disappointed in the suit's cheap polyester fabric, short tie clip and shirt material so thin it's practically see-through. Will definitely come back for poor quality.

It was a lovely outfit and I soon looked so pretty in it, but unfortunately I received the wrong pant size when I ordered. I ordered a size 6 and received a size 5. Didn't have time to return as he had to wear clothes this weekend. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

As always with this brand, good quality. Well-tailored children's clothing. Love the fit my son just complains about the wrong pockets haha.

I like this. My 8 year old son wanted to be Slappy from Goosebumps for Halloween so I got it but he looks so good in this costume I can't wait for him to wear it on another occasion.

This costume was perfect for my son's preschool graduation! Great, light quality, but well made. We didn't use a pink shirt but the bow tie and everything was a hit!

The costume arrived as ordered. That fits well. True to size and good quality. The velvet red jacket was very good. My son is very skinny for an 8 year old. The jacket is not too fitted but not too big on him. The pants were neither too long nor too short. Great price for the quality of the clothes. I would buy another set in a different color for my next event or photo shoot.

Sorry, but this isn't real Nautica. I returned it immediately. You can actually see through your pants. After returning them I went to the mall and bought a genuine Nautica suit which was good quality. It's a fake copy.
