Didn't have high hopes but first scans are terrible. I can salvage some things in Photoshop, but not to any extent. For example, the highlights are washed out to look like yellow dirt (see attached photo). The main problem is that there is no way to adjust the scanner settings to solve lighting issues. First thoughts: PROS: Very easy and quick to set up and use, no PC required, connects to TV via HDMI so you can watch slides. on a large screen, SD card not included but they are easy to find and very cheap, screen view on a decent sized device. You can feed slides continuously (no need to open the device and load 3 more into the holder at a time), although they still need to be pushed through one at a time. CONS: Image quality is poor. Permission control is a sham, there is no real control over it. Sharpness is questionable. Conclusion: too expensive for what it is. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives in this price range. It remains the decision to keep or return.
