The downside to this design is those damn alligator clips. They easily gnaw through whatever material the manufacturer has tried to cover them with. I damaged some of my PCBs resulting in scratches on both the PCB and the solder mask. In fact, it's a huge waste of time if you don't want to mess up your work. They don't even bother to give you replacement tips for attaching the clips if (but not when) the product is gnawing through them. I would recommend this product if they replaced the clips with something friendlier, but spending that kind of money just to hold something in place and damage it at the same time is a bit ridiculous.
