great invention of welding machines and accessories

Stainless steel flux cored welding wire. I think this is the only brand that offers this. Worked fine for me. Saved buying another gas bottle for smaller projects.

    Takes some getting used to

I was able to successfully finish the exhaust pipe with no leaks as confirmed by a smoke test which helped my bad code and when I put the car into gear the car would not stall.

    • Everything is fine!
    Cons
    • Tight Instruction

    Very misleading photos!

Extremely misleading photos! Look at other people's photos and reviews, this roll is much less than half full. The listing shows a full spool. I understand this is sold by weight but don't try to fool me!

    • Unreliability

The best of SS gasless wires, although expensive

Anyway, this thing is just cool. There are several other gasless stainless steel wires and I have tried them all and this Blue Demon material runs the smoothest on all machines, has the least amount and the most manageable slag. Expensive, but double what Kiswell charges

    • little things

Good value for multiple stainless steel welds.

Needed to staple a piece of 308 stainless steel to another piece of 304 stainless steel. It was way cheaper. Purchase of suitable gas and stainless steel wire. The weld itself was perfect. The only conformity is that the stainless wire simply unwinds from the spool once you grab the shipping tape. What a mess.

    Custom Welded Stainless Steel Exhaust

Stainless steel exhaust clamps don't crush the hard stainless steel of my exhaust pipes to create a seal. I bought this cored wire and have been able to make strong welds on stainless steel pipe in my little 120v Lincoln WeldPak. I'm an amateur and far from a pro, but this stainless steel wire made a cool set of tubes for my truck.

    Pros
    • Easy to use

    • Some minor things

Beware of the buyer - welding wire

309 flux-cored wire was ordered, but 308 flux-cored wire. that was received. It wasn't Revane's fault. The packaging on the spool was marked 309 but the label on the spool was 308. The manufacturer was contacted but refused to resolve the issue and referred it to Revain. Revain went out of their way to fix the issue, which they really appreciate. They offered an exchange, but the probability of getting another coil with 308 was too high. Cannot comment on wire performance as 308 was not…

    Not what I expected.

I gave the Blue Demon .035 FC wire three stars because it should have indicated that it is not recommended for 90 amp and 120 volt systems. Stainless steel wire requires a higher temperature to melt than mild steel wire. I realized this after using them to weld my exhaust system, which is made of both mild steel and stainless steel. I couldn't get the wire to flow the way this welder does. I had to increase both voltage and wire speed to the maximum to get a spot weld wire. I really couldn't…

    You need a bigger welder.

First, this stainless wire requires more power than mild steel wire. Blue Demon recommends 130-150 amps. I did this on my Forney 125 FC welder, which is an AC welder with a maximum output of 125 amps and was barely enough to weld a .045" sheet metal. With a small welder, you need to maximize amperage and reduce wire length. Second, Blue Demon recommends installing a DC positive electrode, which is the opposite of the normal installation for a mild steel flux core. Installing a positive…
