This is my favorite tip

I use this tip more than any other. I wish it was maybe a little smaller, but the curve makes the finishing touches very easy.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons

Ideal for my soldering projects.

I like the curved tip. I mainly solder LED strips for my lighting work. Often the places I need to solder are tight and the curved tip helps me a lot.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Do not use as a replacement for 900m

T18 tip, attach to 900m soldering iron assuming compatibility. Be careful, T18 is only a millimeter shorter or I'll break the tip of the ceramic heater. Use only with Hakko FX-8801 IRON.

Pros
  • Good marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Other Other

As always excellent quality from Hakko!

I used this to desolder the PCB and the tip shape is amazing - it's really easy! As always excellent quality from Hakko! Make sure you buy the real Hakko as there are a lot of fakes out there!

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • compatibility

My favorite tip works well for welding and soldering

As many have said in reviews, this is my favorite tip for small jobs. I would like to warn you that if this advice burns you quickly, I suspect you may have received a fake. There are only two authorized retailers that sell this tip on Revain, B+D Enterprises and Ness. By the way, these are the two most expensive options. But you get what you paid for.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poor guidance

The product is high quality, doesn't hold the solder directly on the tip, unlike the conical tip on the FX-951 which I bent at a 90 degree angle, the solder always holds the tip over time. still works fine, it could be because my heating element is old and the FX-888 is old. but it works well enough to get the job done. Compared to a cheap iron, this tip is still high quality.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Shop Official Hakko Merchandise! I love these tips!

I love this tip for my micro soldering applications. I used this with a fake Hakko station. I've since bought a Hakko 951 and followed these official tips. So now I use both. Fake station with these official Hakko tips and official Hakko station 951 with other Hakko tips. If you have the money and want to really dive into these things, do yourself a favor and buy some formal stuff. It will take much longer and pay off in the end.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Stock availability

Soullering's best advice!

This tip was recommended to me by a friend who solders a lot. I've done very little myself, but I have a decent project that required soldering a lot of surface mount items. In the past I have not soldered anything other than through hole elements. With this soldering tip I was able to solder all surface mount components with relative ease! This soldering tip is the best I've ever used! I really can't think of a better general purpose soldering tip! I used this tip in my Hakko FX-888D and it…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Good quality product, does not hold solder directly on the tip, unlike the tapered tip I have on the FX-951 which I bent 90 degrees does hold the solder over the Time always on top. still works fine, it could be because my heating element is old and the FX-888 is old. but it works well enough to get the job done. Compared to a cheap iron, this tip is still high quality.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No car
