I have an expensive induction hob and oven that has replaced a slightly larger old oven. There is a small gap between the countertop and the new stove. Of course, food found its way into this slot at every opportunity. I contacted my local hardware store and asked if I could make some sort of stainless steel gap filler to fit in there. This had to be expensive and problematic as the counter was directly under the stove so the item could not lay flat. So I went to Revain and found these gummy fillers. Thought I'd try them before I spend money to make anything. I was positively surprised. The white gap cover matched my white countertops well and only protrudes about 1/2 inch above the stainless steel on the stove top. Best of all, it's flexible enough to lay flat on both the stovetop and countertop. I think it looks better than the stainless steel lid. I'll keep it and probably just buy a new one if it gets soiled with tomato sauce or something that wasn't already there. I recommend this product.
