Review on 🧡 Janome 1/4" Seam Foot for Enhanced Sewing Precision on Horizontal Rotary Hook Models by Susannah Whitebird

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My most used Janome foot over the years - after removing the black guide

I had one and have switched it between 4 different machines as it is not a standard Janome leg. A few weeks ago I managed to lose it so I bought 4 of these so I'm putting one on each machine now. Strangely they arrived in 4 different packages. lol. This foot is not quite the same as Janome's 1/4" O" quilting foot - it has a heavy metal guide on the side that cannot be removed. however the guide is thin flexible black metal. The first thing I do is snap off that useless black guide at the edge as I don't quilt I just use a 1/4" stitch on pretty much everything, what I do since a 5/8" stitch should be everything. All you have to do is pull the black attachment and it instantly snaps off the back and you have a perfect 1/4" foot! In the photo you can see a tiny part of it that remains on the C-pillars.

Pros
  • Stitches a 1/4 seam allowance quickly and neatly.
Cons
  • Style 90
