🧵 Janome 1/4" Seam Foot for Enhanced Sewing Precision on Horizontal Rotary Hook Models Review

I had one and have switched it between 4 different machines as it is not a standard Janome leg. A few weeks ago I managed to lose it so I bought 4 of these so I'm putting one on each machine now. Strangely they arrived in 4 different packages. lol. This foot is not quite the same as Janome's 1/4" O" quilting foot - it has a heavy metal guide on the side that cannot be removed. however the guide is thin flexible black metal.The first thing I do is snap off that useless black guide at the edge as

This 1/4" guide works well for sewing quilts. I am very pleased with the quality and functionality. It makes assembling the top of the quilt a lot easier and is a lot more accurate.

I bought this presser foot thinking it would fit my Brother and Singer sewing machines. I'm so stupid! The stitch hole doesn't even come close to the center needle position. So if you don't have the Janome machine it was made for. I may have received a defective ream as the packaging in the postal envelope was clear plastic with a sticker on the label, not the official Janome packaging in the picture.

I bought this foot for my Janome Harmony 8080. It fits perfectly and the needle goes through the center of the hole. This is great because I bought a Singer foot. (and returned) had no holes in the right place. Here's the problem: the edge guide is a thin piece of metal that doesn't sit flush with the foot. It is offset about 1/16 inch.
